Norbert Dentressangle

Creating bespoke training provision for a transport and logistics giant

skillspoint helps Norbert Dentressangle to create a common training structure for its UK operations.
Background
Norbert Dentressangle is a major European transport and logistics company that is best known in Britain for taking over Christian Salvesen in 2007. Its clients include major supermarkets such as ASDA and Tesco, and it also takes care of clothes distribution for Marks & Spencer and food distribution for British Airways.

Christian Salveson had a variety of internal training programmes which continued after the firm was absorbed by Norbert Dentressangle. However, the company then required a common training structure across the UK – and one that was efficient, high-quality and cost-effective.

How skillspoint helped
skillspoint continues to work closely with Norbert Dentressangle’s Learning and Development Manager to create bespoke training solutions on a site-by-site basis, including sourcing NVQ provision and assessment, matching qualifications to existing provision, and utilising as much external funding as possible.

How the solution worked
Several hundred learners have already benefited from the growing programme, including managerial staff.

Future plans
Norbert Dentressangle continues to work with skillspoint for all its training needs, and is very pleased that we help them identify and fund the exact training and qualifications they require.
