literacy and numeracy skills
As part of your enrolment session, you will complete two “Initial Assessments”. These assessments give an indication of your current skill levels in Literacy (reading and writing) and Numeracy (maths). The results of the assessments are confidential and will not be shared with anyone, including your employer, without your consent.
You will receive the results as soon as possible – if you have not received feedback within two weeks please contact us. We will advise you of the levels you are currently working at and, where relevant, the opportunities that may be available for you to receive free training, should you wish to brush up your skills or improve further.
There may be classes available within your workplace or alternatively at a local college. You could achieve a National Certificate in Literacy and/or Numeracy, equivalent to GCSEs in English and/or Maths. We will ensure you have all the information you need to make the right choice for you.
